🎶 The Drop-In Summer Concert Series

Through August 13 | Long Center

If you haven't made it out to The Drop-In yet, now's your chance. Every Thursday evening, the Long Center and KUTX host one of Austin's favorite summer traditions—a free outdoor concert series featuring an incredible lineup of local musicians.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair, grab dinner from one of the onsite food vendors, and enjoy everything from country and folk to indie rock, R&B, and soul while taking in the downtown skyline from the Long Center lawn. It's one of the best free events in Austin every summer.

🎬 Paramount Summer Classic Film Series

Through September 7 | Paramount Theatre

Escape the August heat inside one of Austin's most iconic landmarks.

The Paramount Summer Classic Film Series brings timeless movies back to the big screen in the beautifully restored Paramount Theatre. Through August 15 | Zilker Hillside Theater

One of Austin's favorite summer traditions continues this month with Singin' in the Rain at the Zilker Hillside Theater.

Pack a picnic, bring a blanket, and enjoy this free outdoor musical Thursday through Sunday evenings beginning around 8:15 p.m. Watching live theater under the stars has become a rite of passage for Austinites and visitors alike.

🤠 PBR Team Series – Gambler Days

August 21–23 | Moody Center

Looking for something completely different?

The Austin Gamblers return to Moody Center for three days of adrenaline-packed professional bull riding. Featuring many of the world's best riders, Gambler Days combines live entertainment with one of the fastest-paced sporting events you'll ever experience. Even if you've never been to a PBR event, it's a uniquely Texas experience worth checking out.

August 22 | Fiesta Gardens & Congress Avenue

Austin celebrates Pride in a big way every August.

The festivities begin with the Austin Pride Festival at Fiesta Gardens, featuring live entertainment, local vendors, food, community organizations, and family-friendly activities. As evening falls, thousands gather along Congress Avenue for one of Central Texas' largest annual parades—a vibrant celebration of diversity, inclusion, and community.

Late August | Galaxy Theatres

Film lovers won't want to miss the aGLIFF Prism Film Festival, the oldest and largest LGBTQ+ film festival in the Southwest.

The festival showcases feature films, documentaries, shorts, filmmaker discussions, and special events celebrating diverse voices and stories from around the world. It's one of Austin's most respected cultural events and continues to grow each year.
